History and origin of Acesur
Acesur North America is the American subsidiary of the Spanish company Acesur.
ACESUR has been active for more than 150 years producing, packaging and marketing of olive oil, since 1840, as well as a long tradition in vegetable oils sector. This accumulated experience reinforces ACESUR as a leading group within the national olive oil sector in Spain, also exporting its products to more than 90 countries around the world.
ACESUR’s story is a story that has always been related to tradition, dedication, innovation, and love of olive oil. Founded in 1840 under the name “Aceites y Jabones Luca de Tena”, ACESUR has a very professional workforce with more than 600 people in our 8 industrial plants, identified with an ambitious project and many worldwide consolidated brands.
We are one of the largest olive oil packers in the world, manufacturing products exclusively in Spain from only the highest quality Spanish olives.
Acesur is the brand leader in Spain, a country that produces 52% of the world’s olive oil.
We export our products worldwide, including Europe, South America, North America & Mexico, Central America, Asia and the Middle East.
We are a vertically integrated company that controls the entire process from ground to bottle. Our flexibility allows us to have one of the largest ranges of products in the industry.
Acesur is a green company that gives back more than 10 times the energy it consumes through the recycling of its waste.

Organic Business
Our organic products are highly monitored to ensure the entire process, from ground to bottle, is organic and compliant in the final country of sale.
Acesur selects organic certified farms, and keeps a close eye on them throughout the entire season. Once the olives are picked, they are sent to Acesur’s eco friendly crushing plant, where the olives start the milling process. Once the olives are crushed and processed, they are packaged and delivered.

We pay close attention to details throughout our production process. Here are our top considerations:
Own production
We provide our expertise, know-how and quality protocols to guarantee 100% satisfaction in all aspects of our service. We own more than 240 hectares dedicated to organic production (Hacienda Guzmán) along with our mills for organic olive crushing (La Roda).
Our own mill
We crush organic olives in our own mill, preventing any cross-contamination of pesticides and non-organic ingredients.
Exclusive funnels
We store the organic olive oil in funnels exclusively dedicated to organic products.
Exhaustive monitoring
We monitor production during every step with an intense eye for detail and compliance, lead by our expert QA department and under the supervision of “The CAAE Certifying Service”.
Suppliers
We provide our expertise, know-how and quality protocols to guarantee 100% satisfaction in all aspects of our service. We are always looking for the greatest traceability to ensure the quality of our organic products.
Only certified organic olives/olive oil
For organic production outside of our own estate-grown olives, Acesuronly buys organic olives/olive oil from reputable and certified organic suppliers. This way we ensure the best quality, as well as security in our supply.
Quality checking
Once the product is purchased, Acesur checks its quality and verifies its organic origin.
Supervised by our QA Department
All our organic suppliers’ farms are visited by our QA Department to ensure the process meets our requirements.

Facilities
- Dos Hermanas is our flagship factory, where 600,000 bottles are packaged every day.
- Vilches is our secondary factory, with a capacity of 1,800,000 liters of olive oil per day.
Our US Factory
Capabilities:
- Packing: 3 bottling lines packing PET & Glass bottles ranging from 8.5 oz. to 5 liters.
- Storage: 8 tanks that feed packing lines, each holding 29,000 liters.

We have 10 distribution centers throughout the USA, empowering us to efficiently manage logistics with our North American-based clients with the utmost attention to detail and expeditious timelines. Our corporate office is based in New York and both our packing facility and finance departments are located in Virginia. We work as a team to deliver the best service. Our EDI and SAP capabilities allow us to constantly keep improving these services.
